Angie Pickens was elected in 2004 to represent District 6 on the Florence City Council.  She serves as Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Committee and is a member of Planning and Public Safety committees.  Angie is employed by the University of North Alabama as the Academic Resource Center coordinator and summer Parent Orientation director.

Angie has a Masters Degree in Counseling and received her BS in Biology, Physical Education, Recreation, Health, and Dance from the University of North Alabama.  She is currently obtaining graduate hours in Biology to teach at the college level.  She is also obtaining an AL teaching certificate in secondary education.

Angie has 3 children.  They are members of Woodmont Baptist Church. She is an active member of the Florence Falcons Booster Club, Riverhill School PTO and Shoals Christian Flame Booster Club.  She is active in the community and volunteers on behalf of many organizations.
