Scott E. Carrier was elected
in 2004 to represent District 2 on the Florence City Council.
He serves as Chairman of the Planning and Building Committee
and is a member of the Finance/Administration and Parks and
Recreation Committees.
Scott has a B.A. in Political
Science and an M.P.A. in Public Administration from the
University of South Alabama. He gained vast experience in
public relations while working in several state capitals and
in Washington, D.C. He is currently the manager of a local
radio station.
He is active in community
affairs and is a member of the Music Preservation Society,
Inc., the Florence High School Booster Club, the UNA
Sportsman's Club, and a past member of the Shoals Chamber of
Commerce Board of Directors.
Scott and his wife, Karla,
have one daughter and one grandson. They are members of First
Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals.
