The Florence Municipal Court handles all misdemeanors occurring within the Florence city limits. Court is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 a.m. and every third Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.

The Florence Municipal Judge James E. Hall, II, and the Florence Municipal Prosecutor, Billy Jackson, work part-time and are available on days they are in court. The Municipal Court Clerk/Magistrate and the other magistrates handle all court business on a daily basis and can contact the Judge or Prosecutor if necessary.

Some charges are payable without a court appearance and are accepted until 4 p.m. the day before the court date. Cashier checks, money orders, and cash are acceptable methods of payment. Other charges require a court appearance.
