Basketball

Basketball is great fun and also great exercise.  The City of Florence has many places located throughout the city to play this popular sport in a pick-up game or offers a variety of programs available also.

Adult Basketball League

Slow break, ages 20+

Registration deadline is in October.  There is a per-team fee.  The season runs from December through March

Handy Center Adult Basketball League

Co-sponsored by the Florence Housing Authority and the Boys and Girls Club.  There is a registration fee.  Deadline for registration is late December.

Rec League Basketball

Ages 7-14 for boys & girls.

Registration begins in October and ends in November.  There is a registration fee and a parent's signature is required.  Competition begins in early December and runs through the middle of February.

Various leagues play at various times.  For current information call the numbers listed above related to the leagues.  League games are played at Florence Coliseum and Handy Recreation Center.
