A Message from Deputy Chief Neal Rhodes

Welcome to the official website of the Florence Police Department. The men and women of the Department who serve and protect you on a daily basis hope this site will provide you with an overview of our operations.

The Florence Police Department is committed to reducing crime in our community. We work in close partnership with citizens, city government leaders, and other law enforcement agencies in pursuit of this goal.

Our department is composed of two bureaus. The Operations Bureau consists of the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division and the Crash Reduction Unit. While units within the Support Services Bureau include the; Community Policing Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Fleet Maintenance, Communications, Housing Police, School Resource and the Records Division.

Our department also provides service through the utilization of specialty units such as the Special Operations Team (SWAT), Dive and Rescue, Mounted Patrol and the Bike Patrol.

The employees of the Florence Police Department are constantly striving for excellence. We welcome input that will improve efficiency and help us to serve you better.
