Of Operation And Policies
Our hours of operation are from 9-5 Monday - Friday. We
close for lunch and cleanup from 12-1:30. We are located at
702 E. College St., Florence, Alabama 35630. Our phone numbers
are 256-760-6676 and 256-760-6431. Information may also be
faxed to 256-740-4668.
We have six full time employees, the director, the
supervisor, three officers and a clerical person.
Our adoption policy is as follows. All pets are $65.00.
This includes a spay or neuter certificate and rabies shot. It
is law that all animals leaving the shelter be altered to help
stop over population.
We are a municipal agency that cares for unwanted, stray
and injured animals. We enforce city ordinances that pertain
to animals. We also contract with the county commission to
provide county residents a place to bring unwanted pets at no
charge.
