The Office of Emergency Management is responsible for coordinating the preparedness for any major emergency or disaster affecting the City of Florence.

We are subject to natural hazards such as tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, severe weather storms, and excessive heat and cold.

More specifically, the OEM is responsible for developing, revising, and exercising Florence’s emergency plan and related plans in coordination with other city departments and allied agencies.
