River Heritage Program – This program has recently begun and includes several projects along the Tennessee River. A walking trail will connect Wilson Dam with McFarland Park, an interactive fountain and amphitheatre will be next to the Florence Conference Center, and the Patton Island overlook will allow visitors expansive views of the river, Wilson Dam, and Patton Island.

Florence Sportsplex – This sports complex located on Helton Drive will feature soccer, baseball, softball, and football fields. Work to begin "to be announced."
